The GERWAH Smart Lock Set ...
… the smart connection for hollow shafts !

GERWAH has developed a compact, easy to install and economical Smart Lock set for hollow shaft connections.

A considerable higher level of performance and safety has been achieved by using improved materials.

The Smart Lock set consists of an undestroyable shrink disc, a cylindrical adapter and support bushing.


The adapter bushing enables the use of universally available bore diameters and hollow shaft dimensions. The number of spare parts is therefore reduced, resulting in visible cost savings.

Smart Lock makes it possible to easily install and remove hollow shaft drives, even after extended periods of service time.

The picture below shows a gearbox hollow shaft that can cover a wider range of solid shaft diameters through the use of adapter bushings.

Thanks to Smart Lock, separate special solutions for different gearbox applications as well as expensive storing of spare parts for inch and metric diameters now belong to the past!

Conversion of PSV 5001 shrink discs Smart-Lock to new, high grade and tension optimized forged discs.

Starting from April 2005 we have improved our PSV 5001 shrink disc series. The driving force behind this change is our intention to supply shrink discs of a higher quality.
 
You can recognize our shrink discs Smart-Lock by their singular design featuring the forged surface of the shrink disc. (Registered German petty patent no. 20 2004 018 828.7) 

The newly redesigned shrink discs offer you a demonstrable better quality. For most applications these new shrink discs Smart-Lock allow for much higher margins of error during installation. Within common safety factors, these shrink discs Smart-Lock can be considered undestroyable.

We were able to achieve these results by developing new materials with higher tension capabilities.
All our tests simulating incorrect installation procedures (overtightening of screws) have confirmed these results. We therefore offer you with the product Smart-Lock a much higher safety against incorrect installation.

With the newly developed quality stamp we document all steps of the manufacturing process, from the forging of the raw material to the finished product.
You will find the laser engraved quality stamp on the shrink disc face. The designation PG 1104 stands for the manufacturer and the date of the manufacturing process of the shrink disc.

LA 750031 provides information about the supplier of the material and the material certificate. This quality stamp allows us to verify the complete manufacturing process of every single shrink disc until the molten bath.
